Candle Lighting Ceremony - World AIDS Day 2024

The Council took part in the Candle Lighting Ceremony, commemorating World AIDS Day 2024. The event was held at Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. This heartfelt event served as a moment to remember many lives lost to AIDS , honor those who dedicated their lives to helping people living and affected by HIV/AIDS and continue mobilising communities in solidarity. The ceremony was graced by the Hon. Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Apollo Maphalala, and attended by sister municipalities and organizations. Together, we renewed our commitment to creating a more inclusive and compassionate society.
