Mr Nkosingiphile Hlatshwayo

Mr. Nkosingiphile Hlatshwayo began his career in Local Government in 2014 serving in the position of Inspector of Works in Mankayane Town Board until joining Malkerns Town Council where he serves in the same position. He has a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Mangosuthu University of Technology. In the interim he acts as Head of Department of the Infrastructure Department which is responsible for the implementation of the Infrastructure Development Plan of the Local Authority’s as found in the Integrated Development Plan (IDP 2020 – 2025) which includes the construction of roads, installation of streetlights/high masts and construction of municipal buildings inclusive of the Civic Centre/Market Facility etc. He also manages operational/recurrent budget which includes the public lighting infrastructure maintenance, road infrastructure maintenance and grass cutting. He is also responsible for enforcing building control. On the job training has included Swaziland Local Government Projects (SLGP) which was a World bank funded project that capacitated municipal staff across the country on the implementation of road projects through the General Condition of Contract 2010.
